Recently, a delegation from Indonesian law firm FOSTER LEGAL visited Kingland Partners, where the two sides held a cordial and in-depth exchange meeting. The visit aimed to strengthen mutual learning between the legal communities of both countries and to explore cooperation opportunities in areas such as cross-border investment, dispute resolution, and intellectual property.

During the meeting, Mr. Lin Huawei, Founding Partner of Kingland Partners, extended a warm welcome to the FOSTER LEGAL delegation and shared the firm’s practical experience in supporting Chinese enterprises in their “going global” strategies as well as in advancing the development of foreign-related rule of law. Partners Patrick Zheng, Hu Yang, and Yang Jingru also shared their respective experiences in advising clients on outbound matters. Representatives from the Indonesian firm—Chandra Kusuma, Dwi Daruherdani, Veby Oktia, and Jassisca Klory—introduced the latest developments in the local legal market and highlighted key issues of concern for foreign investors.

Both sides agreed that, under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, economic and trade exchanges between China and Indonesia have become increasingly close, driving continuous growth in demand for high-quality cross-border legal services. Looking ahead, the two firms will establish a regular communication mechanism and, through joint research, exchange programs, and case collaboration, work together to provide clients with more professional and efficient cross-jurisdictional legal solutions.
