Mr. Hu has long focused on legal practice in the fields of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), particularly in intellectual property, dispute resolution, and capital markets. He is a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), the International Trademark Association (INTA), and serves on the Young Members Committee of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI). He is also a Legal Affairs Committee Member of the China Television Production Industry Association, a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Beijing Xicheng District Lawyers Association, a member of the Film and Television Legal Committee of the Beijing Entertainment Law Society, and a member of the Beijing Intellectual Property Law Society. Mr. Hu remains active at the forefront of the industry and has extensive experience and in-depth understanding of intellectual property protection and dispute resolution in emerging sectors such as film and entertainment, software development, internet technology, gaming, and artificial intelligence.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hu has provided high-quality intellectual property strategy and legal services to numerous leading domestic and international enterprises, including the NBA, Hollywood-based NEM STUDIOS, HP China, Tencent, Xiaomi, China Mobile, China Central Television (CCTV), Taiwan PX Mart, and iFLYTEK. He has led a number of landmark cases, including an IPTV copyright retrial case that was reversed by the Supreme People’s Court (and selected as one of the “Top 10 Entertainment and Cultural Law Events in China 2022”), the widely followed “Q-version Sun Wukong” artwork copyright infringement case, and the iFLYTEK AI TTS technology infringement case. The latter was not only specially reported by the People’s Court Daily, but also selected as one of the “Top 10 Typical Intellectual Property Cases” in Hefei and its High-Tech Zone, and recognized by China Business Law Journal as a “Deal of the Year 2022.”
