Mr. Lin specializes in handling complex and challenging civil and commercial disputes. With solid legal expertise and a rigorous, detail-oriented approach, he has been involved in numerous major civil and commercial cases before the Supreme People’s Court, various High People’s Courts, financial courts, and leading domestic arbitration institutions. Many of these cases have set judicial precedents or become benchmark cases in the industry. He has accumulated extensive experience in areas including corporate investment and financing, private equity funds and asset management disputes, securities misrepresentation, corporate governance disputes, actions for objection to enforcement, and construction and engineering disputes.
In the fields of investment and financing, private equity funds, and asset management dispute resolution, Mr. Lin has handled a wide range of disputes, including but not limited to: securities misrepresentation claims, bond default disputes, private fund contract disputes, asset management plan disputes, investor suitability disputes, fund manager liability disputes, VAM (valuation adjustment mechanism) repurchase disputes, entrusted investment disputes, stock income right trust disputes, and trust contract disputes. The total amount in controversy of these cases exceeds RMB 10 billion. In addition, Mr. Lin provides legal services to multiple technology start-ups and offers labor compliance advisory services to listed companies.
Mr. Lin has served as legal counsel to a broad range of domestic and international clients, including China International Capital Corporation (CICC), China Securities, Primavera Capital, Cinda Capital, GSR Ventures, Minmetals Trust, the Haiguotou Group, China Railway Group, SAIF Partners, Deere Financing, Boeing, Panasonic, Bayer, TPG, ETP Fund, Volvo, KKR Group, J&T Express, ECARX (Jingwei Hengrun), Shougang Group, Country Garden Group, Nike, and Sinopharm Huahong, among others.
Mr. Lin graduated from the Experimental Class of China University of Political Science and Law and later from Peking University Law School. He is a licensed PRC lawyer and a member of the Beijing Trust Law Research Association.
